Subject: Toaster4000 RT playback: Why is HAM8 better than DCTV?

I'm new to all this, so please pardon my ignorance.  I was under the
impression DCTV is a codec-style approach to displaying full NTSC
bandwidth video, whereas HAM8 is a more limited system.  Mr. Thompson
says HAM8 provides a better image than DCTV.  I am confused.

(If others on this mailing list are not likely to share my confusion,
perhaps replies should be sent by private email, to avoid annoyance.)
